What are Automated Decappers?
If you work with automated sample prep in a biologics lab, it is pretty likely you work with SLAS racks of tubes. Automation tubes are essential for automated sample prep, but capping and decapping of the tubes is a real challenge for both manual and automated use. Automated decappers are the solution to that problem. However, not all decappers are the same. Some only work with a single tube type, others cap/decap all tubes as a default. You need to understand your workflow to choose the automated decapper solution that is right for you.
Below is the list of automated decappers we have found while searching for our needs. We are sure that there are other systems out there and there are new systems designed and released each year.
